A to Z Blogger Challenge Deck Review

T is for Transparent Tarot #atozchallenge

This deck is Hard. It’s complex and layered. (ha! get it? cuz you layer the cards?) I would absolutely call this an advanced deck. I’ve been reading for quite a while, and I rely on the book whenever I use them.

Now – the only criticism I’ve got is that they had an oily film on them when I got em. I wiped them down, and didn’t dry them all the way so the next time I got them out they stuck together again. They were a bit of a pain in the ass, but a nice side effect of this was that I had to spend a lot of time getting to know these cards. After you get the funk off of them, they read beautifully. I love the process of layering the cards and seeing what connections are made. The rainbow touches the man who is on his knees -showing hope. Death strides toward the Lovers. They truly paint beautiful pictures.

The creator of these lovely things is Ms. Emily Carding – actor, author, artist and all around Renaissance woman (currently starring in a critically acclaimed one woman show of Richard III). I suspect Ms. Carding is part fairy, and this is why her deck is so ethereal and beautiful. And I’m hardly ever wrong, so there you go.

Tarot nerds, you can purchase your deck here.
