Hey, guys,
First, I want to thank you SO MUCH for your donations! We raised over $1500 for the Metro Trans Umbrella Group and for the Bail Project.
Thank you so much. It makes a difference, and I appreciate you.
Secondly, the Kitchen Table Gathering has been made digital. This means no cap on attendees, and I cut the price in half. The teachers are the same – George Koury, Rudy Hunter and Ellen Herget. I’m looking for a good platform to host the event and then will toss up the tickets. Hope to see you there.
ALSO – we’re going to talk about independence this month. I have gotten a lot of clients recently who are stuck in patterns. WIth the world being the way it is, it’s understandable. There are ways, though, to make tiny steps in your life to break out of unhealthy attachments, anger, grief and guilt.
These are all important things, but if they hang on for too long, they start to poison your well.
We’re going to start with attachments.
These are those things and people that still feel like they’re stuck to you after you’ve broken off the relationship you’ve had with them.
Like me and cigarettes. I love smoking. It’s one of my favorite things in the world. And if I keep doing it, it’s going to kill me. Fuck.
Please replace the words as you need to. “It’s like Darren. I love Darren. He’s one of my favorite people in the world. And if I keep doing him, he’s going to kill me. Fuck”.
We all have a cigarette in our lives.
So I’m doing a spell on the New Moon so that I can break up with them once and for all. The reason for this is that I have an attachment to them. I have a blank spot in my head when I imagine my life without them. It’s annoying, and I don’t like being told what to do by anything, much less something that’s stinky.
FREEZE – summarized from Kitchen Table Magic (avail for preorder, btw)
- Write down the name of the thing/person/memory that is still stuck on you. The full name, if you know it.
- Put the name in a ziplock bag of water and add some salt.
- WITH INTENTION – toss that thing in the back of your freezer.
Most important part – already have something to do instead of obsessing about your thing. I’m going to listen to a meditation on my Calm app whenever I want a cigarette. I should be chill as hell by August.
Go freeze that thing. Get it out of your life, and then move on. If you don’t do the action part, though, it’s just words.
Xoxoxo!
