Interview

I’m here to make your fucking day – Paige Zaferiou

I got to meet Paige at the Soulful Proprietor workshop in Wisconsin (hosted by Theresa “Badass” Reed).  My first impression of her was Holy Shit.  There is a lot of Person in that person.  Her energy is expansive and positive and kind of like an adrenalin shot right into your aura.  Pow!

I like this woman and I wanted to know more about her, and I wanted YOU GUYS to know more about her, too.  Paige was nice enough to do my questionnaire thingie for me, and I hope you check her out.  Y’all know I don’t write about people unless I get readings from them or read or work with their stuff personally, right?  So, yeah.  Get a reading or some witchy work from this lady when you can.  She’s such a treasure. At the end of the questionnaire thinger, there is information about her newest project!

TAROT QUESTIONNAIRE THINGER!

1.  What you appreciate the most in your friends.

Oh, goodness – I adore all of my friends so much, it’s hard to choose just one thing! It’s ultimately the combination of humor and thoughtfulness that I appreciate the most. They’re so caring and nurturing, and yet no matter what heavy shit is going down they’re always ready with a laugh.

2.  Your idea of happiness.

Solitude in Nature: dappled light through the trees, fresh air in my lungs, hawks circling, a hot cuppa tea close at hand, a book in my lap, bare feet, and warm sun.

3.  Your idea of misery.

Working a double shift at the mall during the holiday season. Huge crowds of people hungry for stuff they don’t need?! NO SPANKS (amen – lft)

4.  Where would you like to live?

Ideally? In a big ole Victorian house with lots of daylight, a library, wild garden, tea lounge, and solid internet access.

5.  Your favorite color and flower.

Yellow-orange is my color, homes! FOXY ARIES IN THE HOUSE. And you just can’t beat the Roses. Sometimes, when it’s dewey or rainy out, I lick them. Yumm~!

6.  Your favorite poets.

Billy Collins, Carol Ann Duffy (first female poet laureate of the UK!),  and Richard Brautigan. I appreciate humor and good story-telling in my poetry.

7.  Your favorite heroes in fiction.

One of my all-time favorite heroes is humble and hilarious Sam Gamgee of the Lord of the Rings, which I typically reread once a year. BOOKS, BRO! I’m also a big fan of Roland Deschain of The Dark Tower.

8.  Your favorite heroines in fiction.

Ah…hmm. I always loved Arya from A Song of Ice And Fire, aka Game of Thrones. Talk about a badass babe who sticks to her guns! And I confess, I love Hermione. Bookworms, repreSENT!

9.  Your heroes in real life.

My grandfather Socrates and father Paul – both hard-working and humorous.

10.  Your favorite heroines in real life?

My grandmother Dottie and mother Darcy – both silly artists.

11.  What is your present state of mind?

Serene, yet TOTALLY EXCITED ABOUT EVERYTHING. And super serene about it. 😉

12.  What is your favorite tarot deck or divination tool?

Oh jeepers! That’s a tough call. Can I make it a four-way tie between the Ellis Deck, the Wildwood Tarot, the Gaian Tarot, and the Wild Unknown Tarot? Please-and-thank-you.

13.  Your favorite songs?

“Losing My Religion” by R.E.M., “Uncle John’s Band” by the Grateful Dead, “Once in a Lifetime” by the Talking Heads, and “High and Dry” by Radiohead

14.  What is your favorite word?

DELIGHTFUL!

15.  What is your least favorite word?

Phlegm. YUCK.

16.  What sound or noise do you love?

I love the sound of birds calling from outside my window. And the sound of their wings.

17.  What sound or noise do you hate?

Babies crying. Oh babies, I will throw you out the window so don’t even start with me right now.

18.  What turns you on?

A sense of adventure: a willingness to be in the world and have fun without the fear of looking stupid. Plus, eye contact – the kind that says, “girrrl, you got it going ON!”

19.  What turns you off?

Wet mouth sounds. DON’T EVEN

20.  What is your favorite curse word?

I tend to favor curse phrases….such as “fuck a butt in the face,” “buttsex in a boat,” “shit on my face and call it Christmas,” and “overly buck weiner” (I’m still figuring out what that last one means).

21.  If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

PANTS OPTIONAL
