5:00p Bo Joffrion – Tarot 101 class.
Tarot can be a lot. There are thousands of decks, hundreds of books, and just as many readers. An esoteric tradition reaching back 130 years, with roots in traditions millennia old. So how do we make something so huge and steeped in mysticism more approachable? Less terrifying?
Well, that’s the goal of this class. We will be breaking tarot down into its parts, looking at the important bits, and focusing on what we need to make it feel more like petting a house cat than taming a lion.
Bo began his tarot journey in 2018 when he was gifted The Cat Tarot at a work holiday event and thought “sure, why not?”. Within a few weeks, he had consumed enough tarot knowledge to feel bold enough to approach an esteemed member of the tarot community who shot him down and told him to come back a year later. So he did. And quickly began reading for the public. Mostly doing event readings he picked up a skill for quick, effective, and to the point readings suitable for most clients. Now he’s excited to share his knowledge about the tarot and how to be a reader for (almost) everyone.

10:30 am EFT Tapping and Tarot by Hilary Parry Haggerty
Hilary Parry Haggerty is a tarot reader, witch, mentor, editor, and teacher. She has been reading tarot for the public since 2005, and worked with the tarot for over 25 years. Her website www.tarotbyhilary.com was launched in 2011, which provides articles, training, and workshops. Hilary was the winner of Theresa Reed’s (The Tarot Lady) Tarot Apprentice contest in 2011. Her work has been featured in Maxim Magazine and BuzzFeed. She is a cohost of Cardslingers Coast to Coast, a podcast that discusses tarot from three different tarot readers’ perspectives. Her first book How to Read Tarot was published by Flame Tree Publishing in November 2022.
Class description: The Emotional Freedom Technique, aka EFT or Tapping, has quickly become a modality that has personally helped me and my clients with numerous issues, including self-worth, manifestation, healing, writer’s block, upleveling, boosting intuition, and more. In this class, you will learn the tapping points along with ways to introduce your tarot cards into this somatic practice. The tarot can unearth a bunch of themes and issues, and then you can use tapping to address them. We’ll also use the cards to brainstorm phrases to personalize your tapping practice.

Jade Moore is the founder of Sincerely The Craft, a St. Louis-based Metaphysical Shop dedicated to making spirituality accessible. With 10+ years of teaching experience, Jade is known for blending traditional spiritual practices with grounded, real-world application.

5pm – Melissa Cynova teaches Advanced Tarot – Making sense of non-RWS decks
Melissa Cynova is an award winning, internationally known, author, tarot reader and witch from St. Louis, Mo. She lives with her darling Joe, five cats and a dog and a tortoise named Phil. In her spare time, she does crosswords in ink. She also watches her amazing children grow into grown ups and is a steadfast supporter of Captain Olivia Benson, SVU. She’s spent her life as a social worker and a tarot reader, giving her a encyclopedic knowledge of the human condition. Class Description. We’ll go through several non-RWS cards to find the thread that ties the tarot together. Surreal or non RWS cards can be difficult to suss out, so we’ll look for the clues in the cards.

10:30 am Panel discussion with Bo, Hilary, Jade and Melissa and then FIELD TRIP INTO ST. LOUIS! We’ll be visiting Jade’s shop Sincerely, the Craft, and the City Museum!
