I met Connie Kick at Theresa Reed‘s Soulful Proprietor workshop. It was love at first sight. She is brash and loud and sweet and funny and we IMMEDIATELY started giving each other shit. Like you do. Connie gave me a great reading and then started with the negative self-talk and doubt and I believe I told her to stop acting like an asshole and own her gifts.  or something like that. I forgot. I’m a delicate flower and don’t often speak in such ways.

Anyway, in the two years since this retreat, it’s been wonderful to see Connie’s tarot business and confidence grow. I’m so glad that I get to know her, and I hope you check her out. This lady knows her business, and doesn’t mess around.

Them knowing all the good, bad and ugly truths and still loving me no matter what.

Hanging out with the ones I love and laughing at stupid shit until it hurts.

8.        What role does divination play in your life?    

Tarot has always intrigued me and during the darkest hours of my life I had an internal Tarot Revolution which helped me find my fun-loving self again.  I truly believe Tarot saved my life. As a result, I became very passionate in sharing it’s magic. While I do read for clients, I’ve discovered my real passion for teaching the magic.  I host a monthly class in Kenosha WI (aka as Kenowhere, as the city is smack dab in the middle of Chicago and Milwaukee). The best part of this experience is seeing transformations occur in my students— knowing that the Magician’s magic works!

My Oma and Opa Leopold, My Oma and Opa Kalitowitsch, and Theresa Reed.

11.        What is your favorite tarot deck or divination tool?

The deck that saved my life.  The Gaian Tarot by Joanna Powell Colbert.  This is How the Magician killed my Suicide – During the darkest time of my life, on the dark edges of suicide, the face of The Magician card from Joanna Powell Colbert’s Gaian Tarot called to me from the shelf of a Barnes and Noble book store and saved me from my own twisted demise.  Because of that magical moment, I now know how to laugh and smile again. I will explain how out of all the resources available during that desperate time (counseling, meds, crystals, etc.) a simple deck of tarot cards that cost less than one co-pay at the counselor’s office is the one tool that really worked to pull me out of the darkness.
